Dr. Douglas Bowen, DMD MPH

Dr. Doug Bowen is proud to call the Mat-Su Valley home. An Alaska native who grew up watching his parents serve their community as educators, he was inspired to make a difference in the lives of children through pediatric dentistry. As a father of four, Dr. Doug understands the importance of creating a warm, compassionate, and comfortable dental experience for every child. He enjoys building relationships with families and is fluent in Spanish, making it easy for Spanish-speaking families to discuss their child’s dental needs.

Dr. Doug earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Alaska Anchorage before earning his Doctorate of Dental Medicine in Puerto Rico. He then completed his specialty training in pediatric dentistry at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He currently serves his country and community through the Alaska Army National Guard. Committed to providing the highest level of care, Dr. Doug continually expands his knowledge through advanced education in pediatric dentistry, including the latest techniques for keeping children comfortable and safe, particularly during procedures involving sedation.

Outside of the office, Dr. Doug enjoys spending time with his family and exploring the great outdoors. Whether hunting, fishing, or simply enjoying the fresh Alaskan air, he loves staying connected to the community he calls home. As a pediatric dentist in Palmer, Dr. Doug is excited to give back to the Valley and help children build healthy smiles and positive experiences at the dentist from an early age.
